I never thought I would actually mirror this on my site, but it's so incredibly stupid and funny that I couldn't resist.

Once a side-splitting joke, it has become part of Internet nerd cult. The basis of the joke came from the screwed-up (this is not an opinion - it actually is screwed up) English translation of the Japanese video game Zero Wing (on Sega Genesis/MegaDrive), which produced the phrases, "Somebody set up us the bomb" and "All your base are belong to us."

The joke went from obscurity to top 50 searches of the week on Lycos overnight. At the unveiling of Nvidia's GeForce 3, one of the slides on the internal presentation was titled "All Your Base Are Belong To Us". Microsoft has the quote on it's Office Assistant retirement home on the web (Go to http://www.officeclippy.com and roll your cursor over the navigation buttons on the left while watching the things Clippy says at the bottom).

Download my CATS Office Assistant... seriously! (Proof that I =do= have a life - the assistant sucks, period. All it does is sit on your desktop and obnoxiously call out "all your base are belong to us" every now and then. I plan to add more later... then again, maybe not.) To install it, just extract it to your C:\[WindowsFolder]\Profiles\[Login]\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Actors folder. If you don't have a profiles folder, save it to the same subfolder of Application Data in your Windows folder.
